Bomet County Government is committed to take health services closer to residents. Residents were assured during the County dialogue which was curtain-raiser for the pre-devolution conference in kakamega that under Governor Joyce Laboso, they will get we equipped and staffed health facilities closer to them.
The theme of this year's conference is: The Devolution Experience Delivering results of sustainable Productive, effective and efficient government.
Health CEC Dr Joseph kipruto Sitonik the County was faxed with inadequate specialist doctors.
"We have a massive stortage of nurses and doctors in our county. One doctor should attend six patients but in our county it is 60 patients per one doctor," Dr Sitonik said.
Dr Sitonik said dispensaries will be constructed in every ward to boost service delivery to residents.
He said the county government will collaborate with others because health does not have boundaries.
"The collaboration is for better service for all Kenyans," he said. Mr Richard Langat said the medical the medical services should be affordable and accessible to the residents and at the cheapest cost.
Residents were urgent to maintain the rivers and not to wash their vehicles there since it endangers aquatic and domestic animals.
Langat said health facilities which were established by pioneer governor Isaac Ruto will be completed and operationalized.
